Job Title:

Key Responsibilities

• Database Architecture & Design

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance database systems.
• Lead data modeling and schema design for new applications and services.

• Performance Optimization

• Monitor and tune database performance using advanced tools and techniques.
• Analyze query execution plans and optimize SQL queries.

• Security & Compliance

• Implement and maintain database security policies, access controls, and encryption.
• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).

• Backup & Recovery

• Develop and manage backup strategies and disaster recovery plans.
• Perform regular recovery drills and ensure data integrity.

• Maintenance & Upgrades

• Plan and execute database upgrades, patches, and migrations.
• Automate routine maintenance tasks using scripts and tools.

• Collaboration & Leadership

• Work closely with developers, system administrators, and business analysts.
• Mentor junior DBAs and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

• Monitoring & Reporting

• Set up proactive monitoring systems for availability and performance.
• Generate reports on database health, usage, and capacity planning.

Required Skills

• Expertise in

  SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL

  , or other RDBMS platforms.
• Strong knowledge of

  database internals

  , indexing, partitioning, and replication.
• Experience with

  cloud databases

  (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL).
• Proficiency in

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Certifications like
