As a Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth and success of our software products. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and develop new business opportunities, establish strong relationships with clients, and achieve revenue targets. You will be a key contributor to the overall sales strategy and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful adoption of our software solutions.
Excellent communication skills
Conduct market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and competitive offerings.
Analyze customer needs and market demands to tailor software solutions accordingly.
Generate new business/logos leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking events, and online platforms.
Collaborate with marketing teams to develop effective lead generation strategies.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and identify upselling opportunities.
Develop relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in potential client organizations.
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
Collaborate with the sales team to create compelling proposals and presentations for clients.
Stay updated on the features and benefits of our software products.
Effectively communicate the value proposition of our software solutions to clients.
Monitor sales metrics and provide regular reports to the management team.
Forecast sales trends and adjust strategies to maximize results.
Lead negotiations with clients to secure contracts and agreements.
Work closely with legal teams to ensure contracts align with company policies.
Collaborate with product development, marketing, and customer support teams to align business development efforts with overall company objectives.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
Proven track record of success in software sales or business development.
Strong understanding of software products and the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
Minimum of 10 -15 years of experience in business development, with a focus on software sales.
Proven success in meeting and exceeding sales targets.
