Job Scope:

Reporting to the Regional Director, Agency the Business Development Advisor is responsible for overseeing the implementation of business development strategies to heighten company profitability across multiple markets in Africa.

Key Performance Indicators:

Oversight responsibility to lead business development, identifying business opportunities to pursue and creating business proposals to support ideas.

Play a key role in driving the growth and success of the business across 5 markets in Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing and maintaining relationships with key clients and implementing strategies to help achieve sales and revenue goals.

Analyzes business procedures across multiple markets to improve them.

Researching the various markets, developing an action plan and monitoring progress.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (INTERNAL / EXTERNAL

  • Manage business development initiatives that promote growth.
  • Work closely with management in multiple markets to follow up with leads and determine new growth initiatives to pursue.
  • Communicate with management on market trends and monitor market trends for inspiration.
  • Review financial statements to determine areas for the businesses to manage expenses, save on cost or expand operations.
  • Leading the charge on sales research plans to identify new growth opportunities
  • Working with management across markets to implement sales strategies and new opportunities
  • Establishing and monitoring business metrics. Generating data and reports to show progress
  • Support in developing and implementing sales strategies to gain competitive advantage in all our markets especially Kenya and Nigeria as our anchor markets
  • Support in ACR proposals, professional masterpiece power point slides and decks, mostly to Group Agency

Who we are looking for (Knowledge, Abilities & Technical Skills):

  • We are searching for an experienced Sales Business Development with extensive business acumen across multiple markets in creating action plans and strategies across multiple markets. Act as Advisor to help make informed decisions and improve our sales processes.

Working Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in Agency Distribution and Operations and exposure in multiple markets will be an added advantage
  • Experience in interfacing with Teams across multiple markets

Education:

  • 1st Degree in relevant field of study
  • A Master’s Degree an advantage
  • Technical knowledge in Insurance is added advantage
