Job Description

Job Summary:

Unix Shell Scripting

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain shell scripts for automation of system tasks and data processing.
Perform Unix/Linux system operations including file management, process monitoring, and scheduling jobs using cron.
Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
Troubleshoot and debug scripts and SQL queries to ensure smooth operations.
Monitor system performance and suggest improvements.

Required Skills:

Proficiency in
Shell Scripting
(Bash, KornShell, etc.).
Strong understanding of
Unix/Linux operating systems
and commands.
Solid experience with
SQL
(preferably in Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL).
Familiarity with job scheduling tools (e.g., cron, autosys).
Understanding of database concepts and performance tuning.
Good problem-solving and communication skills.
