Unit Head IT Platforms & Services

Role Overview: You will be the Unit Head for IT Platforms & Services at BMW Tech Works, located in Chennai. Your responsibilities include orchestrating and managing teams, demonstrating leadership, monitoring KPIs, and people management. You will lead feature teams, work closely with management to meet organizational objectives, manage projects & teams for successful delivery, align with stakeholders from BMW Group, define and track KPIs, foster company culture, and actively collaborate with cross-functional teams. Additionally, you will anticipate risks, act strategically, and promote excellence within the organization. Key Responsibilities: - Lead feature teams for Enterprise IT Platforms, ensuring timely and quality delivery. - Work closely with Cluster Heads, CTO, COO, and other stakeholders to achieve organizational goals. - Manage projects & teams to deliver solutions aligning with business objectives. - Align with Product Owners and key stakeholders from BMW Group on product goals. - Maintain direct communication with BMW Group for transparency on deliverables. - Drive hiring, retention, and talent development to align with company goals. - Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for team performance. - Assess and improve team performance and career paths. - Implement innovative processes to enhance results. - Foster a culture of excellence, trust, transparency, collaboration, and ownership. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable autonomy, self-organization, and growth. - Anticipate risks and challenges, demonstrating strategic thinking and action. Qualifications Required: - 12-20 years of experience in the Technology Industry, with at least 8 years in project deliveries, product development, and people management roles. - 4-5 years of experience in building and managing feature teams for Cloud Platforms, Cloud Migrations, and/or Enterprise Solutions. - Strong communication, negotiating, and interpersonal skills. - Expertise in IT/Business Stakeholder management. - Customer-centric and people-centric approach to delivery excellence. - Knowledge and experience in Agile principles and the Scrum framework. - Knowledge and experience in IT Operations. - Exposure to E2E platform development. - Exposure to Cloud platforms like AWS/Azure, Developer tools/platforms, Cloud Migrations, Enterprise tools for content management, file transfer, message queues.
