Role Clarity Document: Unisex Hairstylist

Position Title: Unisex Hairstylist
Department: Operations
Reporting To: Salon Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Haircutting and Styling:
• Provide stylish, creative, and advanced haircuts for both men and women.
• Offer a variety of hairstyles, including straightening, curling, and texturizing.
• Perform blow-drying, setting, and updos as per client requests.
• Hair Treatments:
• Execute hair spa treatments, deep conditioning, and scalp treatments.
• Apply hair coloring, highlights, lowlights, and streaking using professional-grade products.
• Conduct hair smoothening, straightening, and perming procedures.
• Client Consultation:
• Assess clients’ hair type, face shape, and preferences to suggest suitable styles.
• Educate clients about post-treatment care and recommend salon products.
• Build a positive rapport to ensure client retention and satisfaction.
• Hygiene and Safety:
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of tools, workstations, and common areas.
• Adhere to health and safety standards during treatments and services.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with other team members, including beauticians and support staff, to provide seamless services.
• Participate in training sessions and stay updated on new trends and techniques.
• Sales and Upselling:
• Recommend additional services or products to clients based on their needs.
• Contribute to achieving monthly sales targets set by the management.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Client Satisfaction: Positive feedback and repeat clients.
• Service Quality: Adherence to brand standards and flawless execution of styles.
• Hygiene Compliance: Regular cleaning and sanitization of tools and workspace.
• Upselling: Contribution to the sale of salon products and additional services.
• Punctuality: Timely attendance and completion of client appointments.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Diploma or certification in hairstyling or cosmetology.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a hairstylist in a unisex salon.
• Proficiency in advanced hairstyling and coloring techniques.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple clients.

Work Schedule:

• 6 days a week with rotational weekly offs.
• Flexible working hours, including weekends and holidays.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
