Role Summary

Own product design end-to-end from discovery and information architecture to polished UI and dev handoff. You'll turn messy problems into clear, elegant flows that help users list services, book confidently, and get value fast. Role Description

UI/UX Designer

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Drive discovery: interview users/partners, synthesize insights, define JTBD, personas, and key journeys.
• Structure information architecture, user flows, and edge-case handling (errors, empty states, retries).
• Produce wireframes ? polished UI for core flows: provider onboarding, listings, search, booking, payments, notifications, and lightweight admin.
• Build interactive prototypes (mobile and web) to validate before dev; run 3045 min usability sessions.
• Define and maintain a lean design system (components, states, tokens for color/typography/spacing).
• Create developer-ready specs (constraints, tokens, spacing, motion timings); review PRs and staging builds.
• Ensure responsiveness, performance-friendly UI, and accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA basics).
• Collaborate on microcopy and localization (English + regional languages); plan RTL/readability where needed.
• Partner with Growth to design high-conversion pages, emails, and WhatsApp templates; A/B test key screens.
• Track design impact with metrics dashboards; iterate weekly based on data and support tickets..

Qualifications

• 2 - 5 years

  designing and shipping production apps (mobile-first preferred); strong portfolio with shipped work.

• Tools:

  Figma (auto-layout, components/variants, tokens, prototypes), FigJam for workshops, Zeplin/Storybook familiarity a plus.

• Systems thinking:

  component libraries, tokens, and documentation that speed delivery without stifling iteration.

• Research & testing:

  plan/conduct interviews, write test scripts, analyze findings, and prioritize fixes.

• Interaction & motion:

  thoughtful micro-interactions and feedback; pragmatic animation for clarity (not flair).

• Accessibility:

  color contrast, focus states, semantics guidance, touch targets, keyboard flows.

• Handoff literacy:

  precise specs/redlines; collaborate with React/Next engineers; awareness of Tailwind/shadcn/ui constraints.

• Data-aware:

  comfortable with Mixpanel/GA4 events, funnels, and basic A/B results interpretation.

• Bonus:

  marketplace or fintech experience (KYC, payouts), basic HTML/CSS knowledge, Hindi/Telugu or other regional language for field research.
