Position Overview

The Travel Sales Agent is responsible for selling travel packages, providing exceptional customer service, and offering expert travel advice. This role involves understanding customer needs, recommending suitable travel options, and ensuring a smooth booking experience. The ideal candidate is sales-driven, customer-focused, and passionate about travel.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Customer Service

• Promote and sell travel packages, flights, accommodations, tours, travel insurance, and other related services.
• Understand customer preferences and provide personalized travel recommendations.
• Respond to inbound leads and proactively follow up with potential customers.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business.

Booking & Coordination

• Prepare travel itineraries and ensure all required reservations are completed accurately.
• Coordinate with airlines, hotels, tour operators, and other partners to confirm bookings.
• Manage booking changes, cancellations, and special requests professionally.

Product Knowledge & Expertise

• Stay updated on travel trends, visa requirements, airline rules, and destination information.
• Suggest upselling and cross-selling opportunities, such as upgrades, experiences, and travel add-ons.

Administrative Tasks

• Maintain accurate customer records and booking documentation.
• Process payments securely and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Provide after-sales support to resolve travel-related issues.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in travel sales, customer service, or hospitality (preferred but not always required).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good knowledge of travel booking systems (e.g., Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre) — a plus.
• Excellent sales and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Education
