Transportation Analyst

As an experienced Traffic Data Scientist or Transportation Analyst, you will play a crucial role in our team by transforming raw traffic data into actionable insights. Your expertise in analyzing and modeling traffic patterns, particularly in congestion analytics, junction analysis, and predictive traffic models, will be essential in addressing real-world traffic challenges and shaping the core intelligence of our product. Your key responsibilities will include developing advanced models for congestion analytics to identify and analyze traffic congestion, analyzing complex intersections for traffic flow modeling and bottleneck identification, designing proprietary traffic network models for simulating traffic flow, creating machine learning models for predictive analytics on traffic conditions, and collaborating with the software engineering team to integrate your models for providing actionable insights to our users. To excel in this role, you should have proven experience in traffic analysis and modeling, proficiency in data analysis and programming languages like Python or R, hands-on experience with data science libraries and frameworks such as pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch, a solid understanding of statistical analysis and machine learning techniques, experience in building predictive models for time-series data, and familiarity with GIS and geospatial data analysis. Additionally, possessing excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively in a team environment, and a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Civil Engineering (with a focus on transportation), or a related field will be advantageous for this role.
