Transport Manager

Job Description

Fleet Management: Oversee daily operations of company-owned and third-party vehicles. Schedule regular vehicle maintenance and ensure proper documentation. Monitor fuel usage, mileage, and vehicle wear-and-tear. Staff Supervision: Manage and supervise drivers and support transport staff. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and driving regulations. Provide regular training and performance evaluations. Logistics Coordination: Plan and optimize delivery/pickup routes. Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of goods. Maintain accurate transport logs and trip sheets. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to RTO norms, insurance policies, and transport laws. Maintain proper permits, licenses, and compliance documentation. Cost Control: Analyze and manage transportation costs and budgets. Recommend cost-saving measures and optimize routes. Communication: Liaise with clients, vendors, and internal teams for transport-related needs. Resolve any transport-related complaints or issues promptly.
