Transplant Coordinator

Role Overview: As a Donor and Recipient Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to facilitate the organ donation process, from identifying potential donors to coordinating with transplant teams. You will be instrumental in supporting donor families, ensuring legal and ethical compliance, and providing education to patients and their families about the transplant process. Key Responsibilities: - Manage the organ donation process, including brain death determination, organ retrieval, and transportation. - Work closely with the organ procurement team and transplant teams to coordinate donation efforts effectively. - Provide counseling and support to donor families, guiding them through the donation process with compassion and empathy. - Educate patients and their families on the transplant process, from evaluation to post-transplant care. - Coordinate recipient evaluations and transplant surgeries. - Provide post-transplant follow-up care and support. - Manage the recipient's medical care, ensuring continuity of care across different settings. Qualifications Required: - A bachelor's degree is preferred for this role. - At least 1 year of related work experience is required.
