As a Donor and Recipient Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to facilitate the organ donation process, from identifying potential donors to coordinating with transplant teams. You will be instrumental in supporting donor families, ensuring legal and ethical compliance, and providing education to patients and their families about the transplant process. In the donor-related aspect of the role, you will be involved in managing the organ donation process, including brain death determination, organ retrieval, and transportation. You will work closely with the organ procurement team and transplant teams to coordinate these efforts effectively. Additionally, you will provide counseling and support to donor families, guiding them through the donation process with compassion and empathy. Upholding legal and ethical standards throughout the organ donation process is crucial to ensure compliance and maintain trust in the donation process. On the recipient-related side, you will educate patients and their families on the transplant process, from evaluation to post-transplant care. Coordinating recipient evaluations and transplant surgeries will also be part of your duties, along with providing post-transplant follow-up care and support. Furthermore, you will be responsible for managing the recipient's medical care, ensuring continuity of care across different settings, and supporting them through their transplant journey. This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule. A bachelor's degree is preferred for this role, along with at least 1 year of related work experience.
