Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Trainer is responsible for delivering effective product knowledge, customer service, and sales skill training to store teams. The role ensures that all retail staff are aligned with brand values, selling standards, and operational excellence to enhance overall store performance and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Training Delivery

  • Conduct induction and on-the-job training sessions for new and existing store employees.
  • Deliver training on brand history, product knowledge (fits, fabrics, washes, etc.), and styling.
  • Conduct sales and customer service training to improve conversion and average transaction value.
  • Deliver grooming, visual merchandising, and store presentation training as per standards.

2. Training Planning & Execution

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly training calendars in coordination with the Retail/HR team.
  • Identify training needs through store visits, performance reports, and feedback from Store Managers and ASMs.
  • Customize training content to suit regional or store-specific requirements.
  • Maintain training records, attendance, and evaluation data.

3. Performance Monitoring

  • Track post-training performance improvements in sales, conversion rates, and mystery audit scores.
  • Share feedback and progress reports with the Retail team.
  • Recommend additional coaching or refresher training where required.

4. Brand Standards & Customer Experience

  • Ensure store staff deliver consistent Levis brand experience and customer service.
  • Reinforce brand guidelines, visual merchandising standards, and operational protocols.
  • Act as a brand ambassador promoting Levi’s values, culture, and customer-first approach.

5. Coordination & Communication

  • Support in new store openings with training and team readiness.
  • Share insights and recommendations to improve training effectiveness and business performance.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of retail operations and customer service.
  • Passion for fashion, denim, and the Levi’s brand heritage.
  • Ability to engage and motivate frontline staff.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and training documentation.

Educational Qualification & Experience

  • Graduate / Post Graduate in Retail Management, Fashion, or Business Administration.
  • 3–6 years of experience in retail training or sales coaching, preferably in fashion or lifestyle brands.
  • Prior experience with Levi’s or similar apparel brands will be an added advantage.
