Job Description

As an Intern in our organization, you will be providing support to the Procurement function by conducting research and preparing client deliverables. Your responsibilities will include identifying, gathering, organizing, analyzing, synthesizing, and presenting information using structured methodologies and frameworks. You will also receive training on relevant skills and tools necessary for your tasks. You will work closely with experienced team members, applying consulting, project management, and functional skills to manage client inquiries and short-term projects effectively. Understanding the organization's values and vision is crucial, and you are expected to align your activities accordingly. It is essential to protect the Intellectual Property and adhere to all policies and procedures. Your research skills will be put to use by utilizing both secondary and proprietary research tools to answer client inquiries comprehensively. Analyzing the gathered data to extract pertinent information and providing a summary of the research findings are vital aspects of your role. You will need to have a strong command of various research tools, including Hoovers, OneSource, Capital IQ, ISM, Caps Research, IBIS World, Purchasing.com, and other function-specific tools. Supporting client projects with high-quality deliverables, meeting Turn Around Time (TAT) targets, and interacting with team members to gather relevant information are part of your functional responsibilities. Regularly monitoring project progress, communicating effectively with the team, and participating in internal advisory calls are also key components of the role. To be successful in this position, you must hold an MBA from a reputable Business school with a specialization in Operations, Procurement, or Supply Chain Management. Strong written and verbal communication skills, knowledge of current industry trends, proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, and the ability to work within deadlines are essential requirements. Personal attributes such as understanding business objectives, maintaining work ethics, attention to detail, confidentiality, integrity, and a collaborative mindset are highly valued. Preferred skills include previous research publication experience, self-motivation, and the ability to work under pressure to meet client deadlines.
