Trainee Electrician

Primary Responsibilities

1. Perform basic or routine maintenance activities to check, inspect, repair maintenance and install all type electrical and control equipment and systems.

2. Assist in electrical and instrument project work, repair, calibration, and troubleshooting etc.

3. Assist employees of higher classifications, and supply them with necessary tools, equipment and materials; upon completion of jobs, assist in gathering up and returning tools, equipment, and surplus materials in a clean and serviceable condition.

4. Perform basic/routine dismantling and assembly work, bolt and unbolt, connect and disconnect.

5. Operate as directed, and in a safe and proficient manner: hand tools, power tools, meters, test equipment, hoists, drill presses, grinders, and other tools and equipment pertaining to the work.

6. Employee will perform duties of lower or higher classifications that are incidental to the job and are within their capabilities, including those needed for purpose of training in the requirements of the higher classification.

7. Assist as directed, employees of any classification is carrying through the work assignments.

8. Employee will perform work in a responsible and cooperative manner to facilitate a positive working environment.

9. Comply with all safety rules related to the position and plant operations.

10. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Experience

1. Diploma in Electrical, Instrumentation & Electronics

2. Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts if required.

3. Technical writing capability.

4. Strong interpersonal skill & ability to work within a team environment.

5. Willingness to work in challenging environments.

6. May be required to work weekends.
