TQM & Safety Manager

Key Responsibilities

1. Total Quality Management (TQM)

• Develop, implement, and sustain TQM frameworks such as

  Lean, Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma, SPC, and PDCA

  .
• Lead internal quality improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve product consistency.
• Establish and monitor

  KPIs, Quality Objectives, and Dashboard Reviews

  for all departments.
• Ensure compliance with national and international quality standards (ISO 9001 / ISO 45001 / Customer Quality Requirements).
• Conduct audits (Internal/Process/Product) and ensure closure with CAPA implementation.
• Facilitate

  root cause analysis

  using tools like

  Fishbone Diagram, 5 Whys, FMEA, Pareto Analysis, Control Charts, etc.

2. Quality Assurance & Control

• Liaise with production, maintenance,and R&D teams to ensure product and process quality compliance.
• Monitor process variability and ensure reduction in rejection, rework, and customer complaints.
• Oversee

  customer complaint analysis

  , corrective actions, reporting, and closure within the defined timeline.

3. Safety Management

• Establish and maintain safety management systems in line with statutory regulations (Factories Act, ISO 9001& ISO 45001).
• Conduct

  risk assessments (HIRA, JSA), safety inspections, audits, and emergency preparedness drills.

• Develop and enforce safe operating procedures (SOPs/Work Instructions).
• Ensure timely reporting,investigation, and closure of

  Near Miss, Incidents, Accidents

  with preventive actions.
• Promote safety culture through training, toolbox talks, and continuous awareness programs.

4. Training & Development

• Follow annual training calendars and conduct training on

  Quality Tools, Safety Practices, ISO Systems, Fire Safety, and Emergency Response.

• Build competency in cross-functional teams for TQM and safety culture improvement.

5. Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain documentation,reports, records as required by ISO, customer audits, Ecovadis audit etc.
• Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, and internal policies.
