Job Summary

Tosca Automation Tester

Role and Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using
Tricentis Tosca
.
Identify opportunities to automate manual test cases across UI, API, and database layers.
Execute test suites and analyze results to ensure proper functioning of applications.
Collaborate with QA leads, developers, and business stakeholders to understand test requirements.
Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and defect triage meetings in Agile environments.
Perform
test case design (TCD)
,
test data management (TDM)
, and
execution planning
.
Ensure integration of Tosca tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
Provide support for test execution, defect tracking, and root cause analysis.
Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, results, and reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications

5+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 3+years in Tosca Automation.
Strong knowledge of Tosca components such as:
Modules, Test Cases, Test Steps
Test Case Design (TCD)
Test Data Service (TDS)
Tosca Query Language (TQL)
Experience with
automating web and/or API applications
using Tosca.
Basic understanding of
test automation frameworks
, concepts, and strategies.
Good experience in
defect tracking tools
(e.g., JIRA, HP ALM).
Familiar with
Agile/Scrum
methodology.
Knowledge of
CI/CD tools
like Jenkins, Azure DevOps is a plus.
Experience with
Tosca Reporting (Dashboard, Execution List, etc.)
.

Preferred Skills

Experience with API testing using Tosca or other tools like Postman, SoapUI.
Knowledge of Tosca
BI testing
or
SAP automation
.
Exposure to scripting languages (JavaScript, VBScript) is a plus.
ISTQB Certification or Tosca Certifications (AS1/AS2/TE) preferre
