Tool Room Technician

Role Overview: As a Tool Room Technician, your main responsibility will be to ensure the proper maintenance, repair, modification, and management of injection moulding tools. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the tools are production-ready, efficient, and maintained to high standards for continuous manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities: - Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of injection moulding tools - Diagnose and repair defects like flash, short shot, mismatch, wear and tear of cavities, cores, ejector pins, etc. - Assist with efficient mould changeovers on the machine - Carry out design changes or minor engineering modifications on existing moulds - Maintain proper records of mould maintenance history, breakdown reports, and spares used - Operate tool room machinery such as surface grinders, milling machines, lathe machines, EDM/Wire cut machines, drilling and polishing tools - Maintain inventory of tool room spares, inserts, standard components, and consumables - Follow safety procedures, use proper PPE, and maintain a clean and organized tool room Qualifications: - ITI / Diploma in Tool & Die Making, Mechanical Engineering, or related trade - Certified Tool Room Technician is a plus Additional Details of the Company: This is a full-time permanent position located in a factory/tool room environment. The role may require shift-based work, overtime during breakdowns, and on-call availability. It is a physically active role involving lifting, standing, and working with fine tools.
