Tool and Die Maker

Job Summary: Pavithra Toolings is seeking a skilled and motivated Tool and Die Maker with 6 months to 3 years of hands-on experience in precision tool and die manufacturing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and other precision components as per engineering drawings and production requirements. Key Responsibilities: Manufacture, assemble, and repair precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures. Operate and maintain machines like milling, grinding, EDM, turning, and surface grinding. Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD files, and blueprints. Conduct regular inspection and measurements using precision instruments (vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges). Ensure dimensional accuracy and quality as per design specifications. Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of tools and dies. Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure smooth operation and process improvement. Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the tool room. Required Skills and Qualifications: ITI / Diploma in Tool & Die Making or equivalent. 6 months to 3 years of relevant experience in tool and die making. Strong knowledge of tool room machines and precision measuring instruments. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD designs. Good problem-solving and mechanical skills. Basic understanding of material properties and heat treatment processes. Team player with good communication skills. Preferred Qualifications (Optional): Experience in press tools, injection molds, or die casting tools. Exposure to CNC machines or Wire EDM is a plus.
