Job Description

Role & responsibilities

To perform and review civil and structural designs of dynamic foundations and related structures in thermal power plant projects, ensuring technical accuracy, compliance with codes, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.

Perform civil and structural design and analysis of
dynamic foundations
such as
turbine-generator foundations, compressor foundations, boiler feed pump foundations, blowers, crushers, and rotating equipment foundations
.
Develop and validate
3D analysis models
using tools like
STAAD.Pro
, considering vibration, resonance, and dynamic load impacts.
Conduct
machine foundation dynamic analysis
(rotating and reciprocating type) including natural frequency checks, amplitude predictions, and isolation requirements.
Prepare design basis reports, foundation drawings, and calculation sheets in accordance with project and industry standards.
Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and layout teams for load data, interface requirements, and equipment details.
Review and ensure compliance with relevant codes such as
IS 2974, ACI 351, DIN 4024
, and project-specific specifications.

Preferred candidate profile

Strong knowledge of
dynamic foundation design principles
and vibration analysis.
Hands-on experience in
STAAD.Pro, other finite element tools
for structural dynamics.
Proficiency in
AutoCAD
or
Revit
for drawing and detailing.
Good understanding of
soilstructure interaction
, machine load data interpretation, and damping systems.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
Familiarity with
IS, ACI, and DIN
design codes relevant to machine foundations.
