A TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher) Social Studies Teacher is responsible for teaching social studies subjects to students at the middle and secondary school levels. The primary duties and responsibilities of a TGT Social Studies Teacher typically include:

Key Responsibilities:

• Lesson Planning and Delivery:
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans in accordance with the curriculum guidelines.
• Teach social studies subjects such as History, Geography, Civics, and Economics.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, discussions, multimedia, and hands-on activities, to enhance student learning.
• Classroom Management:
• Maintain a positive, orderly, and focused classroom environment.
• Monitor student behavior and provide guidance to encourage discipline and respect for others.
• Address any issues related to student conduct promptly and effectively.
• Assessment and Evaluation:
• Design and conduct regular assessments (quizzes, tests, projects, assignments, etc.) to evaluate student progress.
• Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their understanding of social studies topics.
• Grade assignments, exams, and other student work in a timely manner.
• Student Support:
• Offer additional support and guidance to students who require extra help, both in and outside of class.
• Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and an understanding of global issues.
• Foster a learning environment that supports student growth, inquiry, and curiosity about social studies topics.
• Curriculum Development:
• Contribute to the development and improvement of the curriculum for social studies, ensuring it is up-to-date and relevant.
• Integrate cross-disciplinary learning to connect social studies concepts with other subjects.
• Required Qualifications and Skills:
• Educational Qualifications:
• BA in Geography/History
• Bachelor's degree in Education (B.Ed.) with a specialization in social studies or related subjects, or a graduate degree in the relevant field.
• Experience: Prior teaching experience in a school setting is often required.
• Skills:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and engaging manner.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Knowledge of current educational technologies and tools.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
