TGT Social Studies

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Social Science lessons as per the prescribed curriculum (CBSE).
• Teach students from classes VI to X, covering subjects like History, Geography, Civics, and Economics.
• Develop lesson plans, teaching aids, and activities to make learning interactive and student-centered.
• Assess students’ progress through tests, assignments, projects, and class participation.
• Maintain proper records of students’ academic performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Encourage students to develop analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Organize and guide co-curricular activities related to Social Science such as debates, quizzes, and exhibitions.
• Use modern teaching techniques (ICT tools, smart boards, audio-visual aids) for effective learning.
• Ensure classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues, participate in staff meetings, and contribute to school improvement activities.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding students’ progress and concerns.
• Prepare students for internal/external examinations.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Arts (B.A.) with specialization in History/Geography/Political Science/Economics.
• B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is mandatory.
• Good command over English and Hindi (as per school requirement).
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle adolescents with patience and empathy.
• Proficiency in using technology for teaching.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
