Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Social Science Teacher to join our team at Dr. D. Y. Patil Public School- Vita. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social sciences and a genuine interest in fostering critical thinking and analytical skills among students. Responsibilities: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that adhere to the school's curriculum and educational standards. Teach various topics in social sciences, including but not limited to history, geography, civics, and sociology, to students at the secondary level. Use a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel supported and encouraged to participate actively in discussions and activities. Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth. Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and activities that integrate social science concepts with other subject areas. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns or questions. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant field (Master's degree preferred). Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in a similar role. Proficiency in social science subjects and a sound understanding of educational pedagogy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment for students. Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage classroom dynamics. Willingness to participate in professional development activities and stay updated on best practices in teaching. Facility: Accommodation will be provided by the school for the selected candidate.
