Textile Designer (Bedding)

As a Textile Designer at G M Fabrics, you will play a crucial role in the Bedding Division by developing original prints, patterns, and layouts for bedding products, ensuring they align with current market trends. Your responsibilities will include: - Conducting thorough research on global design trends, competitor collections, and color palettes to inform seasonal designs. - Creating and maintaining technical files, CAD artwork, and print data for production purposes. - Collaborating closely with the production team to oversee strike-off approvals, color matching, and the creation of physical samples. - Working in conjunction with the Bedding Sales Head and other cross-functional teams to effectively translate design concepts into tangible products. - Presenting design collections and concepts internally for further decision-making and approvals. Qualifications required for this role include: - A Bachelor's degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field. - Prior experience in the home furnishing industry, particularly with a portfolio showcasing home textile designs, specifically in the Bedding sector. Experience with international markets and export houses would be advantageous. - Proficiency in design software like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other CAD programs is essential. - Strong grasp of design principles such as composition, layout, and color theory, with the ability to create and modify color palettes. - Familiarity with various fabric types, weaving techniques, and printing processes, including embroidery, screen, and digital printing.
