Job Description

As a Test Platform Development Engineer - Firmware Engineer at Micron Technology, you will play a crucial role in developing and qualifying low-cost in-house engineering test platforms, solving complex problems, and enabling the testing, debugging, and characterization of NAND components and System products. Here is a breakdown of your responsibilities: Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and qualify product engineering test hardware, platforms, test firmware, and software for non-volatile memory product bring up and debug. - Integrate and validate FPGA designs in hardware using tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and signal tap. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate FPGA designs with other system components. - Provide engineering test solutions (HW & SW) for Product Development for NAND/System characterization and Silicon debug capabilities. - Drive and support new protocol enablement and capability bring up. - Communicate project status to leadership and cross-functional product team. - Provide guidance through debug and resolution of product-related issues. Qualifications: - 6+ years of experience in firmware development using C/C++ and scripting languages. - Proficiency with GNU toolchain and embedded systems. - Knowledge of low-level firmware architecture and storage interfaces such as ONFI, UFS, PCIe. - Experience with NAND and non-volatile System products. - Working experience with logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and Automated Test Equipment (ATE). - Familiarity with Unix/Linux terminal and hardware bring-up and debugging. - Strong data analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. - Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change. - Proficiency in using version control systems like Git. - Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering.
