As a Test Platform Development Engineer Firmware Engineer at Micron Technology, you will play a key role in transforming how the world uses information to enrich life for all. Working within the Non-Volatile Engineering (NVEG) Product Engineer team, you will be responsible for developing and qualifying low-cost in-house engineering test platforms, solving complex problems, and enabling the PE test infrastructure for NAND and System Micron products. Your primary responsibilities will include designing, developing, and qualifying product engineering test hardware, platforms, test firmware, and software for non-volatile memory product bring up and debug. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate FPGA designs, provide engineering test solutions for NAND/System characterization, drive new protocol enablement, and communicate project status to leadership and product teams. To excel in this role, you should have at least 6 years of experience in firmware development using C/C++ and scripting languages like TCL, Perl/Python. Proficiency with GNU toolchain, experience in embedded systems and FPGAs, and knowledge of storage interfaces such as ONFI, UFS, PCIe are essential. Hands-on experience with hardware bring-up, debugging, and familiarity with Unix/Linux terminal are preferred. Successful candidates will possess excellent data analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, along with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering is required, with coursework in VLSI and semiconductor process being desirable.
