Job Description

Contribute to the review of customer technical requirement documents. Build out Test plans and schedules for software development projects. Agree timelines and schedules with technical lead. Monitor and report on progress. Mentor and coach Test resources. Participate in testing if and when required Work with other managers to schedule the time of subject matter experts for test events if and when required Contribute to the development and refinement of the in house development processes Ensure that testing processes and procedures are agreed with stakeholders, documented and published Own and deliver the software automation strategy for software and firmware Plan, manage and report any system test events using external facilities Ensure the status of tickets in JIRA reflect the most recent changes in the project Co-ordinate the release management process of software and firmware releases Ownership of test documentation at a system level, seeking feedback from users and updating on a regular basis as required Supporting the production teams during system or hardware functional testing Combination of hardware and software experience with knowledge of Electronic devices andoubleshooting, hands on Core Skills Degree in a computer related discipline 8+ years industry experience in a Test Engineering role Linux and windows environment experience Experienced in test process definition and implementation Excellent debugging, troubleshooting and problem solving skills and attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience in JIRA or similar test defect/case tracking tool Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience in designing, developing, executing and reporting on performance tests Experience with internet protocols including UDP and TCP/IP STQB qualification Familiarity with embedded systems
