Job Summary:

Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze business requirements, specifications, and technical documents to design detailed test plans and test cases.
  
• Develop and execute manual and/or automated test scripts for functional, regression, integration, performance, and system testing.
  
• Work closely with developers and product managers to understand features and design effective testing approaches.
  
• Identify, document, and track defects using standard bug-tracking tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, Bugzilla, etc.).
  
• Validate fixes and perform retesting and regression testing to ensure issue resolution.
  
• Create test data and manage test environments as needed.
  
• Participate in requirement reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning sessions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  

• 6 years

  of experience in software testing or test engineering (adjustable per your need).
• Strong understanding of

  STLC, SDLC, and QA methodologies

  .
• Experience writing comprehensive

  test plans, test cases, and test scripts

  .
• Hands-on experience with

  manual testing

  and familiarity with automation concepts.
• Working knowledge of

  test management and defect tracking tools

  (JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, etc.).
• Basic understanding of

  SQL

  for database validation.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with

  automation testing tools

  (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, TestNG, JUnit).
• Knowledge of

  API testing

  (Postman, RestAssured, Swagger).
• Exposure to

  performance testing

  (JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Familiarity with

  DevOps practices

  , CI/CD pipelines, and tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
