Test Engineer

Job Overview:

The Test Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, executing, and automating tests for software applications and systems. You will work closely with the development, QA, and product teams to identify issues early, validate requirements, and ensure high-quality deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  
• Perform manual and automated testing across different platforms (web, mobile, desktop).
  
• Conduct functional, regression, integration, system, and performance testing.
  
• Identify, log, and track defects using test management and bug tracking tools.
  
• Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements and ensure adequate test coverage.
  
• Develop automation scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
  
• Execute API testing using Postman, Swagger, RestAssured, or similar tools.
  
• Analyze test results, prepare detailed documentation, and provide quality reports.t

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Test Engineer, QA Engineer, or similar role.
  
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC.
  
• Hands-on experience in manual testing.
  
• Experience in test automation (Selenium, Cypress, Appium, Playwright, etc.).
  
• Knowledge of API testing and tools (Postman, RestAssured).
  
• Basic programming skills (Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar) for automation scripting.
  
• Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, Bugzilla).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
  
• Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).
  
• Understanding of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  
• QA certifications such as ISTQB or CSTE.
