Test Engineer Manufacturing

As a Test Engineer at Schaeffler, your primary responsibility is to ensure the targeted process KPIs for your manufacturing processes. This includes coordinating with other Test Engineers to determine test parameters, producing test documentation, troubleshooting, and performing quality assurance procedures. You will also be tasked with assessing existing test procedures to identify strengths and weaknesses, ensuring the best capability and stability without slip-through for your measuring processes, and reaching the highest technical availability for your equipments. Additionally, you will provide service to the location's Business Units to support, test, and debug product test plans, ensure test equipment availability, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. You will act as the local interface to the equipment Test engineers and serve as an escalation point for the shop floor for your process. Key Requirements: - Proficiency in English, Hindi, and preferably Marathi - Approximately 8 years of experience with Automotive Quality standards - Practical understanding of modern production and quality management tools such as lean manufacturing, six sigma, and TPM - Knowledge of Electromechanics and Automation - Process-specific knowledge related to technology, process, material, supplier, etc., of your process ownership Key Responsibilities: - Project Management: Ensure detailed project plans according to schedule, report project status, manage multiple project activities, and communicate effectively with team members - Test Engineering: Develop test systems/programs based on product specifications, proficient in software languages, responsible for writing, editing, and debugging test systems, manage change management within Test Engineering area, analyze Production Test Concept and Product Test Specification - Quality of work/Productivity: Ensure test plans match Product Test Specification, follow procedures on equipment procurement and implementation of engineering changes, provide technical support, capability improvement, immediate problem-solving, and process support for multiple processes Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electronics, Mechatronics) or related field, or equivalent education and experience The company offers a great company culture, flexi benefits, relocation benefits, health & life insurance, and competitive compensation and benefits.
