Job Description

As a Test Engineer (Automation) at Brightly, a Siemens company, you will play a crucial role in supporting the application platforms in the Engineering department. Your work will be vital to the overall program success, with aggressive timelines that directly impact the company and its customers. You will be expected to build and convey deep subject matter expertise in software testing. Key Responsibilities: - Demonstrate a strong inclination towards product quality - Utilize data-driven analysis and pragmatic decision-making aligned with business and technology needs - Develop and maintain test scripts based on functional and technical designs, functional test scripts, or ad hoc bug fix testing - Stay updated on technology trends and standards, and apply this knowledge to your work - Create test cases, automation scripts, and perform testing to ensure comprehensive coverage - Collaborate with different teams and stakeholders to ensure product quality - Investigate defects to identify root causes and track them to closure - Execute test cases, log defects, and maintain test documentation - Mentor associate engineers to enhance team capabilities Qualifications Required: - Bachelors in computer science or related discipline; or equivalent work experience - 2-5 years of experience in software testing - Proficiency in Selenium - Knowledge of data structures and algorithms, object-oriented programming, databases, SQL, and web programming - Strong communication and partnership skills - Bonus Points: Experience with Appium, exposure to public cloud platforms, certifications like ISQTB, Java, JavaScript, etc. At Brightly, the values of Service, Ingenuity, Integrity, and Togetherness are at the core of our culture.
