Test Engineer (Automation)

The Test Engineer (Automation) position in Gurugram, Haryana is a full-time role requiring 2-5 years of industrial experience in software testing, with a minimum of 2 years specifically in automation testing. As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and enhancing automation test scripts and frameworks to ensure the performance, reliability, and quality of our product. Your key roles and responsibilities will include understanding, applying, and optimizing suitable test mechanisms and tools (functional, Regression, smoke) to enhance verification efficiency through automation. You will continuously improve the automation framework, tools, and processes, prioritize and manage workload to deliver quality results within specified timelines, provide feedback on release readiness, and actively participate in requirement analysis and walkthrough. To excel in this role, you must possess a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, exposure to Agile/Scrum practices, and proficiency in Java programming language (Core Java). Experience with Cucumber BDD, writing Gherkin scenarios, and using test automation tools like Selenium, Appium, or similar is essential. Knowledge of test frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, and the ability to write test cases in BDD format before automation are required. Familiarity with Jenkins/Github workflow Pipeline for CI/CD, API testing tools like Postman or JMeter, and hands-on experience with JIRA & Zephyr will be beneficial. The position requires good interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and a commitment to working in a collaborative team environment.
