The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) serves as a competence center comprising over 3000 skilled engineers. The team at INOPC engages in various activities such as tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, project management, system testing, installation supervision, documentation, and commissioning. Over the years, INOPC has evolved into the largest Operations hub, supporting Hitachi Energy's units in more than 40 countries and executing projects in over 80 countries. As a Sales & Tendering Engineer at Hitachi Energy, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact in the following ways: - Prepare timely and comprehensive offers and quotations. - Identify the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions. - Focus on improving customer satisfaction. - Standardize offers and quotations while developing competencies. - Collaborate with the Sales support team to provide solutions to country-specific customers. - Work closely with Product Group Territory Marketing & Service local Sales Managers for the global market. - Share knowledge and foster cross-collaboration. - Analyze customer needs through market information and inputs from Service FES/Territory Managers. - Ensure the preparation of complete technical and commercial quotations, considering various strategies. - Participate in the risk review process to deliver offers while addressing all risks and mitigation plans. - Assist local Sales Managers during the offer clarification process. - Coordinate with multiple functions such as Design, Project Management, and SCM during tendering activities. - Conduct analysis of lost proposals to enhance future offerings. - Be accountable for the technical expertise and accuracy of deliverables. - Prepare complete documentation for order handover to Project Management & Engineering post contract award. To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes: - A degree in Electrical Engineering with 3 to 7 years of professional sales & tendering experience in GCB, GIS, EPC, or high/medium voltage products. - Technical or commercial background at a university level or equivalent. - Experience in multicultural environments is advantageous. - Excellent communication skills in German and English, both spoken and written.
