Telematics Development Manager

The Incumbent will be responsible for-

Job Purpose-

Responsible for designing, developing, and deploying advanced telematics solutions for EV and traction battery systems. This role involves end-to-end ownership of the technical backbone including telematics devices, platforms, servers, and data flow ensuring secure, scalable, and business-driven implementations.

Role

Technical Solution Design-

1. Create and design technical solutions for new telematics product development, including devices, web/app platforms, server sizing, and wireframes.

2. Architect and modify system designs to meet evolving business needs.

3. Analyze the technical environment and provide the best technology solutions for business problems.

4. Experience of EV batteries data analysis and requirement function development.

Telematics design and modify system architecture to meet business needs and adupt past possible solution for the same.

Deployment & Implementation-

1. Lead technical deployment of designed solutions on AWS or in-house servers.

2. Oversee database creation, data processing, and data storage architecture.

Manage platform testing, data acquisition software, and OTA function implementation.

Analytics & Data Management-

1. Develop predictive analytics for EV and traction battery performance.

2.Ensure strong data flow, encryption, compression, and communication protocols (MQTT, HTTP, FTP).

Feature Development & Integration-

1. Implement new features in BMS protocols as per business requirements.

2. Configure and modify CAN messages, I/O signals, and multi-bus network systems (CAN2.0, BLE, RS232/RS485, SPI, TCP/IP).

Vendor & Project Coordination-

1. Collaborate with vendors, IT service providers, and internal teams to deliver projects within timelines.

2.Provide clear specifications for solution definition, management, and delivery.

Compliance & Security-

1. Ensure global telematics and cybersecurity compliance standards are met.

2.Work on geo-fencing, GPS integration, and global telematics platform requirements.

Skills & Capabilities

• Strong expertise in telematics architecture, database management, and server processing.
• Hands-on experience with telematics devices, global platforms, and predictive analytics for EV and battery systems.
• Proficiency in communication protocols such as MQTT, HTTP, FTP, CAN, and OTA updates.
• Knowledge of EV vehicle and battery platform requirements, including Li-ion battery data monitoring systems.
• Experience in application/middleware/driver-level coding and multi-node topology.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
