Outbound calling: Contact potential customers to introduce products or services and generate interest.
Inbound call handling: Answer customer questions, address concerns, and process inquiries.
Sales and persuasion: Explain product features, benefits, and pricing to persuade customers to make a purchase or schedule an appointment.
Customer relationship management: Maintain accurate customer records in a CRM system and follow up with leads.
Problem-solving: Resolve customer complaints and issues professionally.
Performance tracking: Meet daily/weekly targets and contribute to team performance goals.
Market research: Conduct basic research to understand customer needs and trends (for some roles).
Collaboration: Work with sales or support teams to improve customer experience.
Qualifications and skills
Experience: Previous experience as a telecaller, telesales representative, or call center agent is often required.
Communication: Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
Persuasion: Strong persuasion and negotiation skills are key to closing sales.
Technical proficiency: Basic computer skills and the ability to use CRM software and telecalling tools are necessary.
Language: Fluency in English and/or regional languages is a strong advantage.
Education: A high school diploma is typically the minimum requirement, with a bachelor's degree in a relevant field being a plus.
Other skills: The ability to handle rejection, work under pressure, and manage time effectively is important.
