Project Role Description :Resolve incidents and problems across multiple business system components and ensure operational stability. Create and implement Requests for Change (RFC) and update knowledge base articles to support effective troubleshooting. Collaborate with vendors and help service management teams with issue analysis and resolution.

Senior Network Engineer – Cisco SD-WAN Implementation is responsible for the end-to-end design, configuration, deployment, and integration of Cisco SD-WAN solutions across enterprise WAN environments. The role focuses on implementing scalable, secure, and high-availability SD-WAN overlays, integrating with existing routing, security, and cloud infrastructure, while ensuring seamless migration from traditional WAN technologies.Key ResponsibilitiesImplementation & DeploymentLead implementation of Cisco SD-WAN including:vManage, vSmart, and vBond controller setup.Edge device onboarding, provisioning, and template-based configuration.Policy deployment "” centralized control/data policies, application-aware routing, and segmentation.Execute migration from legacy WAN (MPLS/IPSec VPN) to Cisco SD-WAN with minimal disruption.Perform site readiness, cutover, and post-deployment validation.Integrate SD-WAN solution with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and external networks.Design & ConfigurationDevelop and implement vManage templates, device feature templates, and policies.Define traffic engineering policies using App-Aware Routing, QoS, and SLA-based path selection.Configure TLOC extensions, BFD monitoring, and OMP policies.Ensure secure overlay establishment using certificates, PKI, and control plane security best practices.Testing, Troubleshooting & OptimizationPerform lab validation and pilot rollouts for new deployments or software versions.Troubleshoot overlay control plane, data plane, and application-level performance issues.Analyze vManage statistics, control connections, and tunnel health for performance optimization.Coordinate with Cisco TAC for escalated SD-WAN incidents and software defect analysis.Documentation & HandoverPrepare detailed implementation guides, configuration templates, and migration runbooks.Maintain accurate network topology diagrams and as-built documentation.Conduct knowledge transfer sessions to NOC and operations teams post-deployment.Coordination & GovernanceWork closely with project management, security, and cloud teams during rollout phases.Ensure compliance with enterprise change management, security, and governance processes.Support standardization of Cisco SD-WAN configuration templates and best practices across sites.Required Technical SkillsCisco SD-WAN expertise including:vManage, vSmart, vBond, vEdge / cEdgeControl and data policies, app-aware routing, segmentationOverlay/underlay routing and TLOC extension conceptsGood understanding of Cisco Meraki SD-WAN (preferred for hybrid environments).Strong background in:Routing protocols:BGP, OSPF, EIGRPWAN technologies:MPLS, Internet, LTE, BroadbandSecurity & VPN:IPsec, PKI, ZBFW, NATQoS:Class-based QoS and traffic engineering for voice/data applicationsHands-on with Cisco IOS-XE, vManage, and network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, NetFlow).Familiar with Cisco DNA Center and ISE integration (optional but desirable).
