Techno-Functional Consultant

As a Techno Functional Consultant DCS & Machine Integration at Vegam Solutions in Bangalore, you will be responsible for providing techno-functional expertise and guidance on Distributed Control Systems (DCS) for developing and supporting IT products related to industrial automation and process control. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including software developers, engineers, and product managers to ensure effective integration of DCS solutions into the Smart Factory Solutions (SFS) product suite. Your key responsibilities will include serving as the primary technical resource for controllers, I/O modules, HMI, and Embedded web servers, ensuring these technologies work together to provide a robust and flexible control system for managing complex industrial manufacturing processes effectively and reliably. You will participate in customer engagements to understand DCS requirements, detail technical specifications for the smart factory system, implement interfaces between DCS and the MES system, troubleshoot technical issues related to DCS integration, and provide training and support to internal teams on DCS concepts and best practices. Qualifications for this role include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, proven experience with Distributed Control Systems in industrial automation or process control environments, strong technical knowledge of DCS hardware, software, communication protocols, and control strategies, familiarity with software development methodologies and tools, excellent communication and collaboration skills, ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects simultaneously, and certifications in DCS platforms or related technologies are a plus. Preferred skills include experience in manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, automotive, or consumer goods industries, knowledge of additional DCS & Machine Integration modules and functionalities, and certifications in relevant DCS & Machine Integration software products.
