Job Title: Mechanical - Technician

Role: Mechanical - Technician

Grade: Mechanical - Technician

Department / SBU: Maintenance Machine Shop

Location: Hosur Engine Plant

Salary: Upto 5.50 LPA (45K)

Organization Relationships

• Reports to: RU Maintenance Engine Shop
• Supervises: Maintenance Engine Shop
• Co-ordinates with (Internal): RMI / RG - Machining / Assembly / Gearbox Assembly

Purpose of the Job

To ensure smooth functioning of mechanical systems and equipment in the Engine Plant by carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance, reducing downtime, and supporting production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment and machines.
• Support machine shop and plant maintenance activities.
• Ensure maximum machine availability by resolving breakdowns quickly.
• Carry out preventive maintenance as per schedule.
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities.
• Follow safety standards and ensure compliance with company policies.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repair of plant machinery.
• Knowledge of maintenance tools and techniques.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Qualification & Experience

Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering with relevant experience in plant or machine shop maintenance.

Ability to handle electrical maintenance tools and equipment.

Good problem-solving skills.

Team coordination and communication skills.

Qualification & Experience

Diploma / ITI in Electrical Engineering with relevant experience in plant maintenance.

Competencies:

4 to 6 Years in Automobile Industry preferably from Engine shop or Power train assembly.
