Technician

As a Technician in the Dialysis Department at our facility on Ferozepur Road, Ludhiana, you will play a crucial role in providing patient care services under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. Your responsibilities will include setting up and operating hemodialysis machines to administer dialysis treatment to patients with kidney-related conditions. Your primary duties will involve attaching dialyzers and tubing to the machine, mixing dialysate solutions, and preparing the machine for use. You will also be responsible for monitoring and recording vital signs of patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, as well as explaining the procedure to patients to alleviate any concerns they may have. Additionally, you will be expected to clean and prepare the access area for dialysis, connect the hemodialysis machine to the patient's vascular access, and constantly monitor equipment settings and patient vitals to ensure safety and efficacy during the treatment. Your role will also involve calculating fluid removal or replacement requirements, detecting any adverse reactions, and addressing machine malfunctions promptly. Furthermore, you will be required to maintain accurate documentation, uphold patient confidentiality, participate in quality assurance and quality control activities, and engage in Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives.
