Technical Writer

Basic Qualification Check

• 3-5 years of hands-on technical writing experience.
• Strong command of English (grammar, vocabulary, and tone).
• Strong writing and editing skills focused on clarity and audience-appropriate tone.
• Proven ability to write for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to write clearly and concisely with a logical structure.
• Ability to capture and edit images and videos.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain product documentation, including user guides, administrator guides, release notes, and how-to content.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and designers to understand new features and document them accurately and effectively.
• Own and improve documentation processes and standards.
• Ensure content is accurate, consistent, and aligned with the brand voice.
• Help shape the information architecture and user experience of our help systems.

Technical Skills & Tools

• Understanding of technical concepts (Software Products, Development, Testing, Regression Testing, Sprint/Iteration).
• Understanding of Agile Development Methodology.
• Experience with at least some of these tools: Atlassian Confluence, Document360, Markdown, MadCap Flare, Adobe Robohelp, Adobe FrameMaker, Oxygen, Arbortext, and Other similar documentation tools.
• Ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies to document them accurately.
• Basic understanding of code and APIs (preferred).
• Experience working with developer-focused products.
