Job Description

As an IT Operations Engineer at our company, your primary responsibility will be to ensure seamless and efficient IT operations. Your role will include 24x7 monitoring, batch job execution, backup/restoration management, and coordination with vendors. It is crucial to adhere to operational best practices, handle incidents proactively, and support audits effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Provide 24x7 monitoring of IT systems to promptly address any backup job failures. - Coordinate with bank vendors for any ATM/CCDM-related issues identified through monitoring alerts. - Log tickets in the ITSM tool, assign them appropriately, coordinate actions, and resolve tickets efficiently. - Execute and support COB and EOD batch job monitoring for classified systems. - Ensure timely completion of COB and EOD tasks at scheduled intervals. - Maintain and manage backup and recovery solutions for data integrity and swift restoration. - Conduct regular backups and periodic restorations as per the assigned calendar. - Perform routine checks on backup jobs through regular restorations to validate success rates. - Ensure availability of reports including End of Day and month-end reports. - Maintain daily ATM transaction status files and address statement requests. - Provide support for system changes, projects, and disaster recovery activities. - Collaborate with audit teams to provide requested details within specified timeframes. Qualifications Required: - Proficiency in backup solutions and restoration techniques. - Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. - Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and reporting. - Ability to work effectively in a 24x7 operational environment. Additional Company Details: - Working Hours/Shifts and Week offs will be rotational as IT Operations are 24x7x365. - Prior experience in the banking sector is highly desirable. - Relevant certifications such as Backup (Commvault Professional Foundations or equivalent) and ITIL Foundation are optional but beneficial. Soft Skills: - Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. - Strong customer communication skills to interact clearly with customers and technical personnel.,
