Technical Specialist

You will be joining the team on short notice, i.e., less than a month. Your main responsibilities will include collaborating with Architects to understand and implement proposed solutions, working with Business Analysts to comprehend functional requirements, estimating development effort based on proposed solutions, and delivering business functionality efficiently and to a high standard. Your role will involve learning on the job, exploring new technologies with minimal supervision, and enhancing the productivity and quality of development teams through Agile practices and mentoring. The ideal candidate should have at least 7 years of hands-on experience in Core Java and J2EE development, preferably in WebSphere 7/8/Liberty profile. Experience in designing and implementing Web Services (SOAP, REST, WS-*), familiarity with design patterns, spring-based frameworks, and tools, as well as a keen eye for optimized code are essential. Proficiency in source code management tools like Clearcase/SVN, understanding of Development Methodologies such as Test Driven Development, and appreciation of project-related business principles are required. Additionally, you should be able to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, think analytically, and problem-solve creatively. Flexibility, adaptability to changing environments, and extensive experience in continuous integration environments are highly valued. Preferred skills include knowledge of Oracle, PL-SQL, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, JavaScript Frameworks like Backbone, Node.JS, continuous integration & development tools, LiveSite Application Server, IDOL, HP Deep Diagnostic Tool, or CA Wily Tool. As a Technical Specialist in the IT/Computers-Software industry, you will be expected to possess expertise in Java, J2EE, Hibernate, Spring MVC, JavaScript, Design, Architecture, UML, Web Services (SOAP, REST, WS-*), RAD, WSAD, OOAD, Design Pattern, SQL Server, and Performance Tuning.
