We are looking for a competent Technical Officer with proven expertise in ship and vessel repair. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating repair and maintenance operations, ensuring that all work meets established quality standards, and accurately documenting measurements of completed tasks. This position demands a solid technical background, keen attention to detail, and practical experience within shipyards or marine engineering environments.
The role also involves effective communication and coordination with vessel owners, contractors, and on-site personnel during repair and dry docking operations. Candidates should hold minimum Diploma in Marine Engineering or a related technical field, with at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar capacity. A thorough understanding of ship systems, dry docking procedures, and strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with technical software such as AutoCAD is an added advantage. The candidate must be willing to work both in dry docks and onboard vessels as required.
