Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Lead wet chemical and spectroscopic analysis of
ferrous and non-ferrous metal samples
.
Ensure compliance with
IS, ASTM, ISO standards and NABL (ISO/IEC 17025)
requirements.
Review, verify, and approve
test results, calculations, and final reports
.
Develop, verify, and validate
test methods
, including establishment of
measurement uncertainty
.
Manage
PT / ILC participation
, evaluate results, and implement corrective actions where required.
Act as
Technical Authority
and support
NABL Technical Signatory
activities and audits.
Oversee laboratory
instruments, calibration, maintenance, and chemical inventory
.
Ensure compliance with
laboratory safety, chemical handling, and waste disposal
norms.
Lead, train, and supervise
chemists and technicians
, ensuring
TAT and quality adherence
.
Interact with
clients and auditors
for technical clarifications, complaints, and audit discussions.

Preferred candidate profile

M.Sc. (Chemistry) with 12-15 years experience in chemical testing of metals in NABL-accredited labs.
NABL Technical Signatory approval / eligibility preferred.
