Role & responsibilities Study and understand customer requirement and perform various Micro / Metallurgical Tests on Ferrous and Non Ferrous samples. Perform Various Corrosion Tests - Intergranular, NACE Corrosion Tests such as HIC, SSCC, etc. and interpret the results. Perform grain size measurement, phase identification, decarburization, and inclusion rating. Ensure traceability of samples and timely communication with reporting authority. Assist in understanding client test requirements and suggest appropriate test methods. Participate in technical discussions with customers during audits or report clarifications. Provide metallurgical insight in root cause investigations and product failure evaluations. Ensure all work complies with ISO/IEC 17025 standards and ELCA Lab SOPs. Support internal and external audits, participate in method validation and uncertainty estimation. Maintain lab cleanliness, safety, and equipment upkeep. Preferred candidate profile Sound understanding of ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy. Hands-on skills in metallographic preparation and microscopy. Familiarity with international testing standards (ASTM, IS, ISO). Knowledge of heat treatment and welding metallurgy is a plus. Strong analytical and documentation skills. Team-oriented with ability to work independently under timelines.

Testing Operations: Conduct and supervise tests on: Paints & Painted Panels, Plastics & Rubber & FRP Composites Ensure tests are performed as per specified methods: ASTM, IS, ISO, BIS, OEM specs , etc. Review and approve test reports ensuring accuracy and clarity. 2. Lab & Equipment Management: Monitor daily operations of the polymer testing lab. Ensure regular calibration and maintenance of instruments. Develop and implement test procedures and work instructions. 3. Quality & Documentation: Ensure strict adherence to ISO/IEC 17025 and internal SOPs. Support documentation required for NABL accreditation and surveillance audits. Maintain proper traceability of samples, results, and records. 4. Team Supervision: Lead and mentor junior engineers, chemists, and technicians. Plan and assign daily tasks, ensuring high productivity and discipline. Support skill development of team members through on-job training. 5. Client Interaction & Technical Support: Coordinate with customers for understanding test requirements, special test methods, and report clarifications. Assist in root cause analysis for failures and non-conformities. Support Business Development team in preparing technical proposals and quotations. 6. Safety & Compliance: Enforce lab safety practices and use of PPE. Ensure safe handling of chemicals and test specimens. Monitor compliance with environmental and hazardous waste disposal norms. Preferred candidate profile : B.E./ B. Tech / M. Tech in Polymer Engineering / Plastic Technology / Chemical Engineering / Materials Science / Paint Technology or related field. Senior Engineer : Minimum 58 years of hands-on experience in polymer/paint/rubber testing. Deputy Manager : Minimum 812 years including team handling and lab management exposure. Exposure to ISO/IEC 17025 & NABL accreditation processes is essential.
Key Responsibilities: Operate and maintain Optical Emission Spectrometer (OES) and/or other spectrochemical testing equipment for ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Carry out routine and specialized chemical analysis of metals and alloys as per applicable standards (IS, ASTM, ISO, etc.). Ensure accuracy and reliability of test results through proper calibration, validation, and use of reference standards. Prepare, analyze, and interpret test reports with attention to precision and timelines. Supervise sample preparation (grinding, polishing, cleaning) and ensure adherence to proper procedures. Troubleshoot analytical issues with spectrometer equipment and coordinate with service engineers for preventive / corrective maintenance. Ensure compliance with NABL / ISO 17025 requirements, maintaining proper documentation, records, and audit readiness. Train and guide junior chemists/technicians in spectro testing methods and laboratory best practices. Assist in method development, process improvements, and introduction of new testing capabilities. Ensure adherence to safety procedures and proper handling of laboratory equipment and samples.
Key Responsibilities : Conduct mechanical, thermal, physical, and chemical testing of polymers, plastics, and rubber as per ASTM / ISO / BIS / IS standards. Operate instruments such as: UTM, MFI Tester, Hardness Tester, HDT/Vicat DSC, TGA, FTIR (if applicable) Sample preparation, lab documentation, and result reporting. Adherence to ISO/IEC 17025 & NABL guidelines. Support in calibration, method validation, audits, and quality compliance.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct and review metallurgical tests such as: Microstructural Examination (grain size, inclusion rating, phase identification) Macro Examination (weld evaluation, defects, flow lines) Case Depth, Carburization / Nitriding Depth Measurement Decarburization Depth Measurement Intergranular Corrosion (IGC) Testing Microhardness Testing (Vickers / Knoop) Coating / Plating Thickness Evaluation Oversee mechanical testing : Tensile, Impact, Hardness, Bend, and Flattening tests. Carry out failure analysis and prepare technical reports. Ensure calibration, method validation, and equipment maintenance as per NABL requirements. Maintain test records, support NABL audits, and train lab personnel. Qualification: B.E./B. Tech in Metallurgical or Materials Engineering with minimum 3 years of experience in metallurgical and mechanical testing, preferably in a NABL-accredited laboratory.
