Technical Lead Moodle & Cloud Solutions

As a Technical Lead specializing in Moodle and Cloud Solutions, you will play a key role in leading the design, implementation, customization, and deployment of Moodle Learning Management System (LMS) solutions. Your responsibilities will include managing upgrades, plugin/theme development, API integrations, and performance optimization. Additionally, you will be tasked with architecting and managing scalable, secure applications on Cloud platforms, with a preference for AWS. Your expertise will be crucial in overseeing system architecture, backups, disaster recovery, and security compliance. You will also be responsible for setting up and managing source code repositories and CI/CD pipelines using Git/Bitbucket. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, such as Product, QA, and DevOps, will be essential to ensure delivery excellence. In this role, you will mentor and guide developers/administrators, conduct code reviews, and enforce best practices. Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues across LMS, integrations, and hosting environments will also be part of your daily tasks. Adherence to security, compliance, performance, and monitoring standards will be paramount, as well as effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Your ability to drive project execution by creating project plans, tracking timelines, and ensuring on-time delivery will be crucial. Furthermore, you will provide thought leadership by evaluating new technologies, tools, and approaches to enhance product delivery. To excel in this position, you must possess proven expertise in Moodle LMS, along with strong hands-on experience in AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, CloudFront, IAM, Lambda, etc.). Proficiency in PHP, MySQL/PostgreSQL, JavaScript, and web technologies is essential, as well as experience with Git/Bitbucket and managing CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and system security, performance tuning, and monitoring tools is highly desirable. Your problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills will be put to the test, and you must have demonstrated experience in leading teams, project/task planning, and client interactions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including client-facing experience, are a must. Knowledge of other LMS platforms or eLearning standards (SCORM, xAPI) is an advantage, as is experience working in Agile environments. In terms of education, a Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required. Certifications in AWS/Azure/GCP or Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum) would be beneficial to your role as a Technical Lead in Moodle and Cloud Solutions.,
