Role Overview: As a Technical Architect specializing in Azure, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the data architecture and analytics strategy for Astellas. Key Responsibilities: - Responsible for delivering a robust and scalable data architecture aligned with business goals - Design and implement Azure-based solutions utilizing services such as Azure AD, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Cosmos DB - Develop and maintain Active Directory structures, policies, and security protocols - Optimize database performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data integrity - Provide technical leadership, mentor junior team members, and promote continuous learning - Evaluate and recommend tools, frameworks, and best practices to enhance the data ecosystem - Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to apply them to the data strategy - Design and build high-performance solutions across modern platforms - Integrate technical functionality seamlessly - Participate in delivering value-driven solutions aligned with global priority initiatives - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user needs and translate them into technical solutions - Provide Level 3 and 4 Technical Support, troubleshooting complex issues and ensuring system uptime - Champion continuous improvement initiatives to optimize performance, security, and maintainability - Participate in the continuous delivery pipeline, adhering to DevOps best practices - Utilize knowledge of Machine Learning and data engineering principles to integrate with existing data pipelines Qualifications: Required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (masters preferred) - Minimum of 5 years demonstrated relevant experience - Proven experience as a Technical Architect focusing on Azure cloud solutions - Strong expertise in Active Directory design, configuration, and security - Proficiency in database management (SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling Microsoft Azure: - Fundamental understanding of Microsoft Azure and its services - Experience with Azure services related to computing, networking, storage, and security - Knowledge of general IT security principles and best practices - Understanding of cloud integration patterns and Azure integration services - Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-303, AZ-304) highly desirable - Familiarity with Access skills (VBA, database design) is a bonus Preferred: - Subject Matter Expertise in data architecture/engineering/operations/reporting within Life Sciences/Pharma industry - Data Analysis and Automation Skills, proficient in identifying, standardizing, and automating critical reporting metrics and modeling tools - Analytical Thinking, ability to lead ad hoc analyses and foster continuous improvement - Technical Proficiency, strong coding skills in SQL, R, and/or Python, expertise in machine learning techniques, statistical analysis, and data visualization (Note: Any additional details of the company were not present in the provided Job Description),
