Job Description

Role Overview

Teamcenter Data Load & Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Data Load Execution & Validation

Execute and validate metadata and NX file loads into Teamcenter using OOTB utilities such as
CSV2TCXML
,
TCXML_IMPORT
, and
TCIN_IMPORT
.
Perform spot checks on load results, identify and troubleshoot errors, and coordinate corrective actions with business units.
Support the end-to-end
NX CAD model load process
that runs in extended weekly cycles.

Automation & Tooling

Develop and enhance scripts in
Python
,
C++
, and
C#.NET
for log parsing, error tracking, and process automation.
Identify opportunities for
continuous process improvement
and implement minor tooling enhancements to streamline operations.
Contribute to internal tool development to improve data load monitoring and reporting.

Collaboration & Communication

Work closely with the
India-based Teamcenter operations team
and collaborate asynchronously with U.S.-based counterparts.
Participate in daily
30-minute sync meetings
with the U.S. team for status updates, issue resolution, and process alignment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelors degree in
Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline
.
Strong experience with
Siemens Teamcenter
, particularly in data load, import/export utilities, and configuration.
Hands-on expertise in
C++
and
C#.NET
(Teamcenter developers are expected to know both).
Proficiency in
Python scripting
for automation, data parsing, and log analysis.
Solid understanding of
NX CAD data structure
and Teamcenter-NX integration.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills for working in a distributed, cross-functional environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience with
PLM data migration
or large-scale CAD data management.
Exposure to
Teamcenter ITK
,
BMIDE
, or
SOA customizations
.
Experience with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines for automation scripts.
