Team Member / Manager - Capex Procurement (Electrical)

In this role, you will be responsible for establishing best-in-class sourcing strategies for Capex Procurement Categories, specifically focusing on Electrical Equipments supply and services. Your tasks will include floating RFQs, preparing comparative statements, ensuring approval as per DOA, and following up for deliveries. Key Responsibilities: - Identify opportunities for long-term contracts and continuously strive for cost reduction and achieving savings as per guidelines. - Monitor performance measures against goals and targets to ensure effectiveness. - Resolve transactional issues related to local taxes, withholding taxes, etc. by interacting with cross-functional teams like finance and taxation. - Anticipate cost escalations and materials/service unavailability to implement strategies for de-risking and business continuity plans. - Engage with the CFT team for timely execution of alternate vendor development. - Build and nurture strategic relations with key vendors to ensure preferential treatment to Cipla in terms of technical assistance, pricing, and delivery of materials. - Regularly communicate with vendors to ensure the correct exchange of information and share performance feedback. - Provide vendors with upcoming requirements for their proper planning. - Manage stakeholders by engaging with internal teams like finance, production, engineering, logistics, and import clearance for issue resolutions and concerns. - Conduct site and vendor visits as necessary. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering. - Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within Electrical Equipments procurement and contracts finalization. - Experience in the Pharma industry and knowledge of SAP would be an added advantage. - Good oral and written communication skills along with proficiency in MS Office are essential for this role.,
