Team Manager, Technology

Axalta is a leading company in the coatings industry, dedicated to providing innovative solutions that protect and enhance the appearance of various products. We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join us as a Team Manager, Technology at our Savli facility. As the Team Manager, Technology, your primary responsibilities will include building and leading an efficient technology team to handle new product development and troubleshooting tasks for our customers. You will work closely with Product Managers and Key Account Managers to prioritize projects and develop robust technical plans. Additionally, you will guide team members in product and shade development, as well as interact with regional and global technology teams for updates. Key Responsibilities: - Build and lead an effective technology team for new product development and issue resolution - Prioritize projects in coordination with Product Managers - Develop and execute technical plans, assess technical risks, and set key milestones for projects - Guide team members in product and shade development based on customer requirements - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address future needs - Provide customer support for product launches, troubleshooting, and process improvement - Conduct presentations to customers on new products and technologies - Work in cross-functional teams for issue resolution and new material introductions - Identify training needs and maintain 5S standards in the laboratory and office area - Perform other tasks as assigned by superiors Key Requirements: - Postgraduate in Chemistry, Polymer Science, or related fields, or Graduate in Paint Technology/Chemical Engineering - Minimum 12+ years of experience in the paint or allied industry, with 5+ years in a leadership role - Experience in Automotive Coatings is preferred - Strong knowledge of paint formulations, raw materials, and application techniques - Business acumen, budgeting skills, and technical expertise in new product development - Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills - Ability to maintain confidentiality and provide guidance to the management team Join us at Axalta and be part of a dynamic company that operates in the Performance Coatings and Mobility Coatings segments across various markets globally.
